III ALL-RUSSIAN SEMINARS OF THE ENSEMBLE "STUDIO FOR NEW MUSIC"

The III All-Russian seminars of the Studio of New Music ensemble will take place on June 27 at the Moscow Conservatory. The five-day educational program includes lectures, master classes and concerts.

The theme of this year's workshops is music and media. Composers and performers are introduced to new instrumental techniques as well as different ways of creating and realizing electroacoustic compositions through examples of works written in recent decades. Soloists of the New Music Studio ensemble will talk about advanced techniques of playing classical instruments, and lectures on working with sound and modern media will be given by Andrey Smirnov, Nikolay Popov, Alexander Khubeyev, Nikolay Khrust, and Sergey Poltavsky.

The seminars will include three concerts: on June 27 and 30 at the Electroacoustic Music Center of the Conservatory, and on July 1 at the Myaskov Concert Hall. On July 1.

On June 27 they will be performing works by Alexander Khubeyev, Nikolai Popov, Nikolai Khrust, and also pieces by Peter Ablinger, Anna Pospelova, Francisco Colasanto and Thomas Kessler. The performers are soloists of the New Music Studio Ensemble, CEAM.

On June 30 and July 1 the results of the work will be presented by the performers - participants of the workshops. The program for the first concert includes electroacoustic works by Janis Kiriakides, Anna Pospelova, Luigi Ceccarelli, Karlheinz Essl, Arash Azadi, and Alexander Schubert; the program for the second concert includes pieces by Edison Denisov, Louis Andriessen, Pierre Boulez, and others.

All events are open to the public, admission by registration.
